The NHBC Foundation, in collaboration with the Zero Carbon Hub has produced guidance on the recent Part F changes - ‘Part F 2010 where to start: an introduction for house builders and designers'.
The guidance is intended to provide working examples and practical help for designers and specifiers, many of whom are struggling to balance the requirements of SAP Calculations under Part L, with the requirement for adequate ventilation.
Many new dwelling now require very high levels of air tightness, and solutions such as continuous mechanical vent systems, often with heat recovery, are moving into the mainstream.
