From October 1st 2010, the new SAP 2009 methodology became the measure for all new build projects in the UK. In tandem with the latest 2010 Building Regulations and changes to Part L, SAP Calculations continue to be required for every new dwelling or conversion in the UK, but with significant new demands.
These changes are detailed elsewhere on our website and Build Energy will be keeping our clients up to speed on the latest requirements. Changes are already afoot for the 2013 Part L and SAP changes, so we will be monitoring implementation closely and keeping you informed.
Energy Performance Certificates (SAP EPC) are required on all new build properties (using SAP 2009 Methodology), and undertaken by an OCDEA (On Construction DEA).
Note: The 2010 changes require Design Stage SAP Calculations to be lodged prior to work starting onsite.
Build Energy is a provider of quality assured SAP 2009 energy ratings and Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's). We are accredited by the NHER, the largest and most respected body there is. Since 6th April 2006, SAP ratings have been required for every new dwelling or conversion in the UK. EPC's also became mandatory in April 2008.
Build Energy uses software approved by BRE on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), The Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG), the Scottish Executive, The National Assembly for Wales and the Department of Finance and Personnel
