Build Energy were appointed to offer Part L consultancy and assessment for an attractive scheme of 14 new build apartments at Church Road, Fleet. The design team was led by Union Architecture as part of a design and build contract. Unusually for a project of this type, the designers opted for a steel frame construction, allowing for greater flexibility and reduced programme time.
The use of Revit 3D modelling software was instrumental in providing a reliable working platform for the design team. This allowed the project to be fully coordinated with Structural Engineer, M&E Engineer, Steel Frame Fabricator and Lightweight Metal Section Designers, leading to very smooth works on site.
"We have been working with BE on numerous projects, as they provide us with a great level of service. The solutions provided as part of the planning and building regs process are always cost efficient and realistic which benefits our clients. When it comes to the construction phase, the site assistance provided by BE in relation to the air and sound testing is always well received from our appointed contractors."
