Pete Mitchell – Director
Pete founded the business in 2007 whilst he was renovating properties on the south coast. He is a qualified On-Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (CertOCDEA), Level 4 Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (DipNDEA), Code for Sustainable Homes consultant and an iATS accredited air leakage test engineer. Pete is also a member of the Bournemouth Design Panel.
Outside of BE Pete is kept extremely busy by 3 children, but when he’s really got time on his hands you will generally find him outdoors, by water and fishing!
Stephanie Stones – Operations
Steph manages our operations, project delivery and the coordination of our test engineers and subconsultants.
Steph has a passion for languages and enjoys teaching Spanish and French. She also enjoys wine – which was a very helpful pairing when we recently had to converse with a Uruguayan wine merchant! We kid you not.
Sean Mills – Technical Manager
Sean is a senior consultant and leads our response to technical, policy and regulation changes. He is a qualified BREEAM, Code for Sustainable Homes and Home Quality Mark assessor as well as a Level 5 Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (DipNDEA).
Sean is often involved with Part L and planning stage work for our London schemes, delivers much of our CPD training and is a member of the Bournemouth Design Panel.
His passions include live music and travel, although he’s recently discovered the joys of running.
Natalie Wheeler – Residential Projects
Natalie is a qualified On-Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (CertOCDEA). Having a particular interest in self builds Natalie leads our residential schemes of all sizes and much of the associated planning stage reporting.
Natalie also has a penchant for Scottish building regs (yes, strange) so delivers much of our work north of the border.
Outside of work you’ll find Natalie spending her free time with her family or lost in the forest with the dogs!
Sarah Mitchell – Business Development
Sarah joined us from corporate life, bringing her unique zeal and positivity to our business and clients. We don’t know how we lived without her. Sarah manages our client relationships and is constantly striving to grow our business with more and more interesting and varied clients across the UK.
Sarah is a very busy Mum of (yep you guessed it) 3, but will always find the time for a windy run by the sea, often rehydrating with a large glass of white wine.
"BE are fantastic, local building energy assessors, with competency across many areas. We have found them very useful on small and large projects. With the larger projects they can provide a range of assessments with one point of contact. We submitted a planning application for 224 residential apartments for a site in Luton. BE provided the flood, acoustic, heat loss and SUDS reports. The scheme was consented and reports were excellent. We have found them to been frank and honest with their advice. They are also lovely people to work with… which is very important."
