Preparation & Brief / Concept Design
At RIBA stages 1-2 we equip you with the expertise and guidance you need for early concept designs and pre-planning. This is where we can be creative with construction types, building services and technologies.
We’ll ensure that you not only hit the brief, but are also able to entrench sustainable design from the start.
At RIBA 3 we support you throughout the planning phases, providing a comprehensive suite of energy modelling, assessments and technical advice to ensure a swift and successful application.
Taking the lead from your local planning policy, we will also address any environmental standards required like BREEAM, HQM or other client targets.
At RIBA 4 we start to apply our deep technical skills with more detailed modelling and assessment. Our job is to ensure the finalised design is compliant with building regulations and relevant planning conditions.
We then wrap up all of the reporting for building control submission.
Throughout construction we work with contractors to ensure that the build remains compliant, delivering onsite advice visits. We will also ensure that any changes to specification are managed to reduce risk.
We also take care of 1st fix diagnostic air testing and prepare for pre-completion testing for sound, air and ventilation compliance.
Handover & Closeout
Finally we deliver a rigorous test regime for air tightness, ventilation and sound insulation, in conjunction with thermographic surveys.
We then manage a smooth completion and handover process, delivering final reporting and certification for sign off.
