MOJ and Public Sector Framework Work
Build Energy works within the supply chains of tier 1 contractors delivering projects on public sector frameworks, including the HMPPS capital programme. We have delivered BREEAM technical consultancy, energy modelling, acoustic assessment, air tightness testing, commissioning stage services, and post-construction verification on new-build prison facilities for both Vinci Construction UK Ltd and Wates Construction – including HMP Exeter, HMP Norwich, HMP New Hall, and HMP Wayland.
Working in live custodial environments requires a different level of operational awareness than standard construction sites. All personnel on a live prison site require escorts, access to plant rooms and service voids must be pre-booked and approved, and testing or survey activities that affect the establishment’s regime need to be coordinated with the site team well in advance. Our programme management accounts for these lead times from the outset, so BREEAM evidence deadlines are not put at risk by access constraints.
Build Energy holds Cyber Essentials certification, which is a requirement for suppliers working on government and public sector projects. We can provide certification evidence as part of any pre-qualification or supply chain compliance process.
