BE have recently delivered on-completion testing and certification for this fantastic Branksome scheme by Union Architecture.
Formerly the Avalon Nursing Home, this attractive Victorian Villa has been renovated and converted into seven characterful flats featuring high ceilings and many original features. The project also includes a new coach house style wing at the rear of the site. Union Architecture have worked with their client and contractor Horizon Habitats to develop the existing design, reducing the planned number of flats and making the scheme more saleable with a potentially increased GDV.
With the project encompassing both new build and existing elements, and being subject to a 10% renewables requirement a coordinated approach was needed to deliver all of the building control and planning requirements, from early stage SAP design through to sound and air permeability testing.
