BE were delighted to help with this new build and conversion project in Finsbury Park, North London.
The existing site consists of a Victorian Villa comprising of six apartments, a commercial unit and 26 garages to the rear of the site. Our client submitted a planning application to redevelop the existing garages into nine luxury mews houses.
Given the site’s position in Tollington Park Conservation Area, extensive design work in conjunction with Heritage Collective Heritage Consultants was undertaken to ensure the design of the garages was sympathetic to wider Conservation Area in terms of materiality, scale and built form. The scheme includes the refurbishment of the six existing apartments which will involve the repair and restoration of the original external features of the Victorian Villa.
